Made the best possible start in handicaps with a smooth victory at Taunton, benefitting from the fastest ground he’s faced. A 7lb rise for that success is far from harsh, especially as there should be further improvement under the hood. He does have 12-stone to defy, but he looks by far the best handicapped horse in the field.

JASMIN DE GRUGY (2.55 Ffos Las, nb)

Did plenty wrong when going down narrowly on handicap debut. She pulled 28 lengths clear with the winner and there’s no such blot in this race. An 8lb rise is a bit harsh, but she can improve past these rivals.

JESSIE LIGHTFOOT (4.00 Ffos Las, treble)

Was an eyecatching winner on stable debut at Taunton last month. She’s just 4lb higher and can double up on her ideal ground.
