TENNIS fans will finally get to see their favourite stars slide around the clay courts as the French Open 2024 returns THIS week – and it is not to be missed.
Serbian superstar Novak Djokovic raced to a record-breaking Roland Garros triumph last year after beating Casper Ruud by straight sets.
And after crashing out of the Australian Open semi-final courtesy of eventual winner Jannik Sinner earlier this year, the World No 1 will be determined to pick up his first Grand Slam of the campaign.
However, the likes of Carlos Alcaraz has other ideas, while clay court king Rafael Nadal and British mogul Andy Murray are focusing on shaking off their injuries to make the tournament.
Iga Swiatek was crowned as queen of the 2023 tournament following her 6-2 5-7 6-4 victory over Karolina Muchova.
But American hero Coco Gauff and British icon Emma Radacanu will certainly have their eye on knocking Swiatek off her high horse.

The first rounds of the French Open 2024 will get underway on Sunday, May 26 and it will conclude on Sunday, June 9.

What are the new changes for 2024?
Suzanne-Lenglen court will feature a new retractable roof. After Philippe-Chatrier court, Suzanne-Lenglen court has now been fitted with a retractable roof as well.
The lightweight retractable cover which is made of canvas and inspired by the pleated skirt created by Jean Patou for Suzanne Lenglen, can be closed in just 15 minutes.
This design pays a fitting tribute to the champion, a pioneer of women’s tennis, who so perfectly embodied French elegance.
And the roof will be officially inaugurated on Sunday 26 May. Suzanne-Lenglen court will also be outfitted with LED panels along the court for the 2024 edition of the tournament.
What has Andy Murray changed for the French Open 2024?
Andy Murray will reportedly be using a new racquet for the French Open 2024.
Tennis commentator Andrew Castle said: “From what I hear he is practising with a different racket, he is still working with the different weights of the racket and different strings.
“He’s still trying to get 100 per cent out of everything.”
