Newfoundland Sea Kayaking: Revisiting an Old Favorite

For my first paddle of the season, I thought I'd revisit an old fave. Colinet, St Mary's Bay. I haven't paddled there for at least 10 yrs. With the forecast calling for no wind and sun, I figured it would be the perfect location.

Toyota racks up booming profit, vows to invest to keep growth going

Toyota has reported that its profit for the fiscal year that ended in March doubled over a year earlier, as strong vehicles sales and a favorable exchange rate lifted results for Japan’s top automaker. Toyota said Wednesday that its profit in the last fiscal year totaled 4.9 trillion yen, or $31.9 billion, while sales jumped 21%. Israel reopens key crossing for aid to enter Gaza that was closed over weekend rocket attack

The Israeli military says it has reopened the Kerem Shalom crossing into Gaza, a key terminal for the entry of humanitarian aid. It was closed on Sunday after a deadly Hamas rocket attack killed four Israeli soldiers near the crossing. An Israeli tank brigade seized the nearby Rafah crossing early Tuesday, and it remains closed.
