Bryce Young won't play in preseason opener

CHARLOTTE - Starting quarterback Bryce Young won't play in Thursday's preseason opener at New England, head coach Dave Canales announced Tuesday.

Canales seemed to be leaning that way yesterday and said they'll meet later today to make the determination for the rest of the team.

But out of a desire to protect Young, they chose to hold him out of this one.

CHARLOTTE - Julius Peppers is bigger than most human beings, but he's not bigger than the weather.
