In 2023, Gurgaon saw a 13% reduction in road accidents and fatalities. Strict enforcement of traffic norms, reducing black spots, and awareness programmes were credited for this improvement. Gurugram Traffic Police issued over 1.3 million challans and provided 45 green corridors. Most fatalities occurred on national highways. Various measures helped reduce accidents at busy junctions.
