US playwright Jeremy O. Harris released 3 weeks after arrest in Japan for alleged drug smuggling

The American playwright and actor Jeremy O. Harris has been released from detention in Japan. He was taken into custody last month on suspicion of smuggling the psychadelic drug ecstasy. The police department confirmed Harris's release on Monday but did not specify if he was released on bail or if he left the country. Harris was arrested at Naha Airport on November 16 for allegedly carrying 0.78 grams of MDMA.
