Dallas police chief: 11 officers shot at protest; 4 dead

DALLAS — Snipers opened fire on police officers in Dallas, killing four officers and injuring seven others during protests over two recent fatal police shootings of black men, police said.

A world of magic and wonder

Growing up hearing stories from the book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and seeing the first movie adaptation of the novel at the age of eight, I thought the whole story made absolute nonsense and couldn’t grasp the whole concept of “Wonderland.” I thought it looked creepy based on the physical appearances of all its anthropomorphic and grotesque characters, and didn’t seem to understand how it was supposed to entice and entertain children with its gothic and disturbing animation.

RiverDogs-Tourists rained out, will be made up as part of DH on Friday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. — After sporadic storms delayed the first pitch for an hour, the Charleston RiverDogs’ series opener with Asheville was postponed on Thursday night at McCormick Field. The RiverDogs will play a doubleheader with the Tourists on Friday beginning at 5:05 p.m. in a pair of seven-inning games.
