Kurultai elections: preliminary voting results announced

Tengrinews.kz — Kazakhstan’s Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced the preliminary results of the Kurultai parliamentary election.
The preliminary results as of the morning of August 24 are as follows:

Adilet Party — 71.17 percent;
Nationwide Social Democratic Party (NSDP) — 5.11 percent;Baitak Kazakhstan Green Party — 1.07 percent;
People's Party of Kazakhstan (PPK) — 3.11 percent;
Auyl People's Democratic Patriotic Party — 6.26 percent;Ak Zhol Democratic Party of Kazakhstan — 5.21 percent;
Respublica — 5.56 percent;
Against all — 2.51 percent.

To enter the Kurultai, parties needed to receive at least 5 percent of the total vote.
According to CEC Chairman Nurlan Abdirov, the total number of registered voters was 12,623,289. A total of 9,351,539 people took part in the election, representing 73.8 percent of those included on the voter lists.

As a reminder, the Kurultai parliamentary election was held on Sunday, August 23, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. According to the Central Election Commission, preliminary turnout as of 8:00 p.m. stood at 74.19 percent. A total of 9,352,151 people cast their ballots.
Earlier, exit poll results for Kazakhstan’s Kurultai parliamentary election were also announced.
August 23 — election day
On July 1, 2026, Kazakhstan’s new Constitution, adopted in a nationwide referendum on March 15, entered into force. After that, the Mazhilis and Senate ceased operating and their deputies were dismissed.
The new Constitution provides for a unicameral Parliament — the Kurultai. It will consist of 145 deputies elected for five-year terms.
