100 people evacuated from 16-story building on Abai Avenue in Almaty

Tengrinews.kz — Emergency services in Almaty quickly extinguished a fire in the parking area of a residential complex, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
A power cable caught fire in a 16-story residential building on Abai Avenue in the Bostandyk District. The fire covered an area of five square meters.
The first fire crews arrived at the scene five minutes after receiving the report. Rescuers evacuated around 100 people, including 19 children, via the stairwell.

The fire was quickly extinguished. No injuries were reported.
