Man hit by car near S.F.’s Golden Gate Park

Around 8:35 p.m., officers responded to reports of the wreck near the corner of Fell and Clayton streets, said Sgt. Michael Andraychak, a police spokesman. Andraychak said a silver Toyota Prius, driven by an unidentified 51-year-old man, was headed west on Fell and had a green light when the victim, who was also unidentified, darted out into the street and was struck by the vehicle, hitting the hood and windshield. Uber is preparing to launch UberEats, its standalone food delivery app, in 10 US cities, The Wall Street Journal's Doug Macmillan reports.

Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and Austin are among the cities Uber is bringing its food delivery service to, a company spokesperson confirmed.

The first standalone app from the company since the launch of the general Uber app, UberEats will be live in the Apple App Store and the Google Play store by the end of March.
