William Shatner, the original starman, takes one-man show on the road

Willam Shatner is boldly going where he doesn’t really need to go.

The 84-year-old star of television shows such as “Star Trek,” “T.J. Hooker” and “Boston Legal” is driving across the country, touring his one-man show, Shatner’s World:

What made you want to drive across the country for a one-man show?

The thing is, the show is saying yes to life.

[...] basically we get everything you have learned throughout your life in roughly two hours.

What did you learn about yourself by writing it?

Are you slightly disappointed that real life has transcended the science fiction you grew up on?

What’s happened is with the advent of bigger and better and finer machines, we’re finding bigger and better and finer mysteries.

The span of what we can see is so minute.

The mysteries that abound are far more profound than ever before.

Because life is so temporary, I’m living as hard as I can.
