Stanford center Graham Shuler is latest O-lineman to leave
Shuler, part of a celebrated group of offensive linemen who arrived on the Farm in 2012, was a two-year starter who made honorable mention All-Pac-12 last season.
The Cardinal offensive line is already losing left guard Josh Garnett, the Outland Trophy winner, and left tackle Kyle Murphy, a first-team all-conference selection, to graduation.
Additionally, tight end Austin Hooper, a redshirt sophomore, has announced he’ll enter the NFL draft.
Shuler, Garnett, Murphy, guard Johnny Caspers, tackle Nick Davidson and tackle Andrus Peat, who entered the 2015 NFL draft and plays for the New Orleans Saints, arrived to much fanfare in 2012.
Besides the three offensive linemen and Hooper, the Cardinal are losing eight other starters from the Pac-12 champions, including Hogan, wide receiver Devon Cajuste, defensive linemen Brennan Scarlett and Aziz Shittu, linebackers Kevin Anderson and Blake Martinez, cornerback Ronnie Harris and safety Kodi Whitfield.
Shuler’s mother, Kim Hill, is a contemporary Christian music singer who has a Grammy Award nomination to her credit.
