Surfer in Marin County disappears in waves
A surfer believed to be unconscious and tethered to his board went missing off of Rodeo Beach in Marin County on Wednesday night, authorities said.
Before the search, two good Samaritan surfers saw him face down in the water, still attached to his surfboard with a leash, McTigue said.
The U.S. Coast Guard, National Park Service, Marin County Fire and Southern Marin Fire were assisting in the search, McTigue said.
Crews sent out two personal watercraf, rescue skiers, and a Coast Guard helicopter and rescue boat to look for the surfer.
