A’s Ron Washington makes risky call; did he distract Carlos Correa, too?

Washington was almost right up on the third-base bag when Correa was making the play and Correa looked Washington’s way initially, almost as if he thought Washington was the baserunner. None of the Astros thought Washington’s positioning was an issue, and Washington often moves up toward the runner if he wants him to go hard. Washington hangs back if he believes he might have to change his mind and throw up a late stop sign.
