No. 3 Johanna Konta ousts Julia Boserup at Stanford

Johanna Konta won handily over Julia Boserup in second-round play at the Bank of the West Classic at Stanford on Wednesday afternoon.

The third-seeded Briton won the first set 6-3, then cruised to a 6-1 victory in the second.

Pegula, whose parents own the NFL’s Buffalo Bills and NHL’s Buffalo Sabres, reached the quarterfinals of a WTA tournament for the first time.
