Oregon St. women beat Utah 70-44

Sydney Wiese scored 17 points and Marie Gulich had 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead No. 11 Oregon State over visiting Utah 70-44 in Pac-12 women’s basketball Friday.

Oregon State (17-2, 6-1 Pac-12) finished the first quarter with a 6-0 run to take an 18-14 lead and outscored Utah 21-8 in the second period, scoring the final 11 points.

Utah (13-5, 2-5) missed its first five shots in the third quarter and Oregon built its lead to 58-32 by the period’s end.

Indiana forward OG Anunoby, who was averaging 11.1 points and 5.4 rebounds, will undergo knee surgery and will miss the rest of the season, men’s coach Tom Crean said.

Buffalo Bills receiver Sammy Watkins is expected to be limited until the start of training camp this summer after undergoing a second operation on his broken left foot.
