Frustrated Highway 17 drivers use teamwork to clear giant tree

Highway 17 drivers have been through a lot this winter as storms hurled one obstacle after another across the Santa Cruz mountains highway. Mother Nature struck again Monday when rainstorms caused a huge redwood tree to fall across all four lanes near the summit at 3 p.m. And this time, drivers reacted with an act of spontaneous teamwork.
