ATHENS, Greece (AP) — The Greek government says the country's economy is set to grow a decade-high rate of 2.7 percent next year despite maintaining high taxes linked to international bailout agreements.

The government stuck to its ambitious target in the 2017 budget, submitted to parliament Monday.

Following three international bailouts, Greece is slowly emerging from a multi-year recession that's seen the economy shrink by a quarter. The Greek government... Читать дальше...

A very strange thing is happening in national intelligence these days. Last week we had National Security Agency chief Admiral Michael Rogers publicly declaring that a "nation state" (read: Russia) had meddled in the presidential election "to attempt to achieve a specific effect" (read: get Donald Trump elected). Then, director of National Intelligence James Clapper announced that he was retiring and news broke that Rogers was being vetted for the DNI job.

Задумывались ли вы, какую роль в нашей жизни играют различные приметы? Впервые мы узнаем о них еще в раннем детстве, когда нас учат обходить стороной черных кошек и избегать встречи с соседками, несущими пустые ведра. At 72, I experienced election night with a 103-degree temperature, so it was literally a fever-dream for me. And in a certain sense, it’s remained so ever since.  Now that a white supremacist has just been made the next president’s closest White House adviser, and the president-elect has called conspiracy theorist Alex Jones of Infowars to thank him and his followers for their part in his election victory, we have reasonable confirmation that we are indeed in a fever-dream America.
