Overshadowed, Marko Dano and Artemi Panarin start strong

Look, as long as the situation with Patrick Kane and his involvement in an ongoing police investigation in Western New York continues, he'll be watched closely. Even on days like Saturday when perhaps the biggest news around him was that his sweater and other gear with his name and number were available and displayed at a temporary team store, Kane’s actions and moves will be observed and analyzed.

But that doesn’t mean he’s the only story at Notre Dame. Sure, Kane’s is by far the most serious, important and scrutinized plot, but a couple other threads have emerged.
