Flooding closed a handful of streets Friday night as high tides seeped into downtown Charleston.

Afternoon thunderstorms brought hail and strong wind gusts to the Lowcountry, the National Weather Service said Friday afternoon.

Another hot and humid day is in store in Charleston, with a chance of afternoon showers and some flooded streets tonight.
