Laramide increases private placement to C$3.3m

Uranium miner Laramide Resources has increased the previously announced private placement from seven-million units to ten-million units, at a company price of C$0.30 a unit, for aggregate gross proceeds of up to C$3.3-million. Bannerman raises A$8m for Etango

Uranium developer Bannerman resources will raise A$8-million through the placement of more than 173.9-million shares to institutional and sophisticated investors. The placement will be priced at 4.6c a share, representing a 9.2% discount to the company’s ten-day volume weighted average price.

Lithium price may soften this year on ‘slight oversupply’ but EVs driving future optimism

The lithium price might be in for a rough ride this year, as a supply response might overshoot what the market actually needs, London-based pricing intelligence firm Metal Bulletin’s head of research William Adams tells Mining Weekly in an interview. “We see a slight lithium surplus coming this year, moving to a slightly bigger surplus next year. And the surplus could exist purely on paper, rather than seeing surplus metal floating around on the market,” he cautions.

Resources company on target for PFS completion

Diversified resources company Savannah Resources says the company is well on target to complete the Mutamba prefeasibility study (PFS) in early 2019, as stage one of the PFS is well advanced and includes a gap analysis, an options review, project planning and budget finalisation for stage two of the PFS. The project is located in the Inhambane province of Mozambique. The PFS is being managed by mineral sands expert TZMI and it assesses the project’s potential development and the economic aspects such as the mine cost estimates.

Energy company expects appropriate tariff from financial model review

Emerging Mozambican power development company Ncondezi Energy says the positive preliminary results from updated proposals from the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), as well as operations and maintenance (O&M) contracts, for its integrated power and coal mine project indicate potential for the presentation of a more competitive power tariff.
