Planning on spending St Patricks weekend in Ireland next year. Want somewhere 'traditional' so not Dublin or Belfast. Was thinking Galway but 40 miles from nearest airport. Any alternative recommendations?

If you are watching Bodkin on Netflix it is apparently filmed in Union Hall West Cork. Looks lovely, West Cork is fantastic generally.

I was talking to the missis about this the other day and found it hard to answer. Some decisions just take you in a certain direction and things might have worked out equally well, albeit differently, if you'd gone down another route. But it was tricky to pinpoint a moment when I though THAT was a giant effing bad choice.

So what decision did you make that was definitely, in hindsight, totally and utterly wrong?

My Grammar School careers teacher told me I had to sign on for 9 years and apply to be an Officer cadet if I wanted to join the army, it's all I ever wanted to do but at 18 I didn't want to commit to 9 years. Obviously it was a lie and I could have signed on for an initial 3 years then longer if I was enjoying it.

I agree, how you spend the money you have is much more important than the amount you have to spend.

But more budget to spend on transfers and wages does give you opportunities to go for players that you wouldn't have otherwise been in the market for. If it's even true as a ballpark figure that we have £30m to spend then that's massive for a league one club, and we shouldn't be beaten to players by anybody else in the league (or even half the championship) financially - even with half of that, that probably still rings true.
