Young 20 year old striker just been released by United.
Exactly the sort of player we should be in the market for. Don’t get too excited over his stats, but for the youth teams at United he was prolific.

“ why is the last mile the hardest mile ? “
Who we got winning this one then?
Bookies in favour of Catterall
The last fight I thought Jack was the clear winner, he's probably slightly improved since their first fight winning twice, where as Taylor hasn't really managed to kick on losing to Teo, and that being his only fight since.

Seeing N'Zogbia mentioned on another thread got me thinking of some of the outrageous and embarrassing transfer rumours we've had to put up with over the last 30-odd years since Sully and Brady arrived in town. Transfers that were never going to happen, or were actually being negotiated, only for the owners to offer contracts that wouldn't even attract players to the league below.
The craziest were surely Diego Maradonna and Jean-Pierre Papin. I can also think of Gareth Bale and Roman... Читать дальше...
There were loads of links and bids when Yeung first came in

Seeing as we are unlikely to attract a high quality manager in league one, and currently options (subject to change I know) are between Heckingbotton, Alex Neil or probably Rowett, of those 3 who would you prefer?
Can we please have no more Rowett threads I’m sick to death of his name coming up on every thread ..move on from him …. As for me who I’d like is someone young who will come in with a breath of fresh air that goes through the club bring us excitement that galvanises the players and fans I’d go for the mk dons boss or the Lincoln boss someone that plays attacking football
So Tom Ross posted that Mowbray had told him in a personal phoecall that he would definitely be back for pre-season.
Tom Ross, in my mind, didn't start with any credibility - but surely the most ardent of his fans must realise the bloke is a complete charlatan.
Or is this him mishearing ? or did Mowbray actually tell him that ?
I played football against him too, and saw traits of what you said, but then again I could be a bit of knob when playing football too.. embarrassing looking back….
He’s done loads to support Help Harry help others, but I get he’s not everyone’s cup of tea….
I can’t say I dislike many football related folk to be fair, other than:
Mark Mcgee when he was at a wolves
Muscat- same
Lee Hendrie when playing for Villa and younger days around town, albeit he’s quite good on the TV, and not a bad lad really.
Released by Watford.
Yes/No?
Andy Kennedy
No from me. He’s done I reckon.
Chalobah from Albion I’d take. 30, so has 2 seasons left.
Bayern going for Kompany. Chelsea linked with McKenna and Maresca. Blues fans would rather have Will Still (89 games managed, no promotions) than Alex Neil (400 odd games and a few promotions).
Is it the case now that a good manager = a young man who has mainly been a coach, over somebody who has been there and done it?
(edit, I'd initially written that Neil has 400 promotions... which would probably make him the front runner)

I mean it beats the managerial merry go round we used to have of big Sam, Alan pardew, Harry redknapp....

Gerrimin...
No, apparently Man Utd have decided he's going to be sacked even if they win the FA Cup final.
If I was him I'd be staying at home tomorrow and not bother going to Wembley to manage the team.
