A 16-year-old boy was found shot and seriously wounded Saturday morning in Washington Heights on the South Side.

Around 7:15 a.m., officers responding to a ShotSpotter gunfire detection alert found the boy with multiple wounds to his body in the 9100 block of South Loomis Street, Chicago police said.

NEW YORK — Wayne Kramer, the co-founder of the protopunk Detroit band the MC5 that thrashed out such hardcore anthems as “Kick Out the Jams” and influenced everyone from the Clash to Rage Against the Machine, has died at age 75.

A man was found dead inside a crashed car Friday in the Garfield Ridge neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Sami Jebreen, 69, was found about 3:30 p.m. in a car that flipped over and crashed in a small, wooded area in the 5200 block of South Harlem Avenue, near the north entrance to Interstate 55, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
