A FedEx driver died after crashing into a wall early Tuesday on Interstate 294, according to officials.

About 2:25 a.m., the driver, who was in a FedEx double tractor-trailer, left the northbound lanes and struck a wall on I-294 at milepost 52.5, Illinois State Police said.

A Chicago man who died after being found with multiple gunshot wounds in suburban Niles has been identified, according to Niles Police.

Police responded to a report of an injured man near West Chase and Harlem Avenues at about 9:08 p.m. Sunday and found Billy J. Parker, a 26-year-old Chicago resident, with multiple gunshot wounds, police said. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

Two police officers were injured in a crash in Belmont Cragin on Monday night, police said.

Officers were driving northbound in the 2300 block of North Laramie Avenue about 7:02 p.m. while responding to a call with their lights and sirens on when two people on a scooter drove through an intersection at the same time, police said.
