Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx’s office won’t takes sides in a man’s request to obtain a certificate of innocence in the 1993 killings of a Cicero woman and her granddaughter — while he awaits trial in the 2022 rape of a woman on the North Side.

The man, 23, was found in the 1600 block of South Loomis Street.

A man was found stabbed to dead in Pilsen early Friday, police said.

The unidentified man, 23, was in the 1600 block of South Loomis Street when he was found around 4:15 a.m. with stab wounds to the back, abdomen and shoulder, according to Chicago police.

He was dead on the scene.

Area 3 detectives are investigating and no one is in custody.

A Joliet mother has been charged after her 12-year-old daughter died Wednesday, days after ingesting heroin and fentanyl.

Officers responded about 8:30 a.m. Sunday to a home in the 1500 block of East Washington Street after her mother, Colette Bancroft, called police to report that her daughter was unresponsive in a second-floor bedroom, police said.
