The Sky announced its local broadcast schedule for the 2024 season.

Michael Soroka out of White Sox rotation, Brad Keller in

Michael Soroka is out, and Brad Keller is in.

White Sox manager Pedro Grifol announced those moves with his starting rotation Tuesday, saying Keller will take Soroka's turn when the Sox play the Yankees Saturday in New York. Soroka, who is 0-5 with 6.39 ERA in nine starts, will go to the bullpen.

Keller is 0-1 with a 2.84 ERA in four appearances, including one start. Читать дальше...

Civic Federation urges 'cautious' state spending, warns of 'looming fiscal crisis' for transit agencies

As state lawmakers work to finalize a budget and revenue package, the Civic Federation on Tuesday urged the state to be more cautious in its spending levels and warned that the CTA, Metra and Pace are "fast approaching a looming fiscal crisis."

The watchdog group also urged Gov. J.B. Pritzker and lawmakers to develop a more sustainable tax structure and pension plan to prevent future crises. Читать дальше...

Chicago woman who helps migrants fights for a chance to stay in the United States

Luisette Kraal is often at the free clothing store she co-founded in the Uptown neighborhood helping migrants get basic needs or connecting them to resources. She and her husband, Ed, have lived in Chicago for 12 years. They’ve created a network of support for hundreds of migrants who have recently arrived in Chicago. But due to challenges with their immigration status, they might have to leave the country soon.

At least four businesses were targeted by armed robbers in around three hours late early Tuesday and late Monday across the city, police said.

Most recently about 12:45 a.m., a man entered a business in the 4300 block of South Ashland Avenue in the Back of the Yards and distracted an employee by asking to purchase an item. He then pulled a gun and demanded property from the employee, who complied before fleeing the scene, police said. Читать дальше...
