Suspect charged in officer shooting following Prada crash-and-grab

A man suspected of shooting a Chicago police officer after a crash-and-grab robbery in the Gold Coast earlier this week has been arrested and charged with numerous felonies.

Deshawn Lucas, 33, faces two counts of first degree attempted murder, one count of an aggravated battery with a firearm, one count of burglary and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, all felony charges.

NFL regular-season games averaged 17.9 million viewers, tied for the second highest since averages were first tracked in 1995.

Buoyed by increases of at least 24% in two of the five packages, the first year of the league’s new television contracts saw a total increase of 7% from last season.

The highest average on record is 18.1 million from 2015.

A man working at a convenience store was fatally shot during an attempted robbery in Greater Grand Crossing Tuesday night, police said.

Shadi Mohammads Uleimen Almomani, 43, was in an alley in the 300 block of East 79th Street when another man approached him and tried to rob him, then fired shots around 10:15 p.m., according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
